Visa Information

Whether you need a visa to enter Ireland depends on what country you’re from. Find out what you need to enter Ireland based on your nationality on the INIS website. For more information on Visa requirements, please consult the Department of Foreign Affairs of Ireland website. If you need a short-term visa, you will need to contact the Embassy of Ireland, or the nearest Consulate of Ireland in your home country, to receive guidance on the application process and necessary documents.

To request a personalised invitation letter, you MUST meet one of the following criteria:

  • Have an accepted abstract for onsite presentation at the meeting (Abstract ID needed);
  • Have registered AND paid in full for the meeting (Invoice Number needed);
  • Be a current SETAC member (Member ID needed);

A personalised invitation letter can be requested by completing the VISA request form. This request will then be sent to the SETAC office. Please, allow at least five business days to receive your letter via email.

Please note that SETAC cannot contact any embassies on your behalf. They have informed us that any documents sent directly to them from SETAC will be destroyed and that applicants should bring all relevant documents with them to their interview. Furthermore, SETAC has no control over the visa application process or the decision of the visa adjudicator in the embassy or consulate.
